A Cross-Border Relationship Is Never Easy. During a Pandemic, It’s Terrifying

Main Street Canada has partnered with other organizations to provide support during COVID-19. These organizations include the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, the Canadian Association of Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs, and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

Main Street Canada is also a member of the World Trade Organization, the North American Free Trade Agreement, and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the relationship of Main Street Canada organization with other organizations in several ways.

One way is that Main Street Canada has had to cancel or postpone many events it was planning to hold to comply with social distancing guidelines. This has meant that the organization has had to rely more on digital and online communications to stay in touch with its members and other organizations.

Additionally, the pandemic has caused many small businesses to close down, which has made it difficult for Main Street Canada to collaborate with other businesses.

Overall, the pandemic has hurt Main Street Canada’s and other organizations’ relationships. However, it is still possible for the organization to improve its relationship with these organizations by continuing to communicate online and collaborating when possible.
